Zacks Christmas message header

We enter a year of action as a truly global, comprehensive healthcare company with a spirit of WA-gokoro.

We want to extend our sincere New Year's greetings.

2025 marks a renewal of our management structure. Building upon the business foundation established by our founder, Minoru Sano, and second-generation president, Yoshihiko Sano, we aim to transform the significantly grown “box” that is NIPRO into a “jewelry box”—that is, to further enhance our corporate value. In 2025, NIPRO exhibited at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion during last year's Osaka-Kansai Expo. Building on the valuable insights gained from our company-wide deliberations on how NIPRO can contribute to future healthcare in 2050, we now focus on bringing these ideas to life.

The year 2025 was focused on building a solid foundation toward achieving the targets set for fiscal 2027 in our mid-term management plan announced last May. We position 2026 as the year during which we will execute various initiatives based on this foundation to achieve those targets. While there are increasing demands for advanced treatments, improving operational efficiency in healthcare settings has become an urgent challenge due to a shortage of medical professionals. NIPRO will focus specifically on the following areas to become indispensable as medical infrastructure for society, providing products and services that help reduce the burden on medical professionals and more rapidly improve patient quality-of-life (QOL):

  • Medical Device Business

In our core dialysis business, we will continue to provide the world with high-quality, high-functionality products developed and refined in Japan's high-level medical environment. We will also expand our products and services to meet the diverse dialysis treatment needs of different countries and regions. In the vascular business, we will bring to market products equipped with cutting-edge technology that enable better treatment options for doctors.

  • Pharmaceutical Business

As a company with a high market share of antibiotics and injectables, NIPRO will strengthen its supply capabilities by operating the NIPRO Pharma Ohmi Plant in Shiga Prefecture at full capacity. This will ensure a stable supply of essential drugs, such as antibiotics, supporting Japan's healthcare settings.

  • Pharma-Packaging Business

We will advance the development of products that do not compromise the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals, while reducing the burden on healthcare professionals and patients, and contributing to improved efficiency and safety in healthcare settings. Alongside medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and regenerative medicine, we will globally expand high-value-added products that only NIPRO can deliver.

  • Regenerative Medicine Business

We aim to obtain final approval for “STEMIRAC®,” for which we submitted an application last year. We will also explore expanding its indications to other diseases.

Furthermore, compliance is paramount across all NIPRO business activities. Operating globally, NIPRO strictly adheres to the laws and regulations of each country and region, remaining a good corporate citizen and a good partner to society.

Our vision is to become a “truly global, comprehensive healthcare company with a spirit of WA-gokoro.” This embodies our determination to prevail in competition through our high product value and service capabilities, while upholding the Japanese traditional spirit of “WA”—respect for others and a value for harmony and cooperation. All NIPRO Group employees worldwide strive as ONE NIPRO toward this vision in every business endeavor.

In closing, I extend my best wishes for your continued good health and further success in the coming year.
